The members of MUSICIANS INDIVISIBLE share the same core values: Inclusion, equality, freedom of expression, protection of civil rights, promoting progressive policy, locally and nationally.  It is our mission as musicians and as citizens to do two very broad jobs:

JOB 1. Protect our livelihood.

JOB 2. Protect our civil rights Especially those of us who are in the cross hairs of this administration.

It is our strategy to affect change locally and have zeroed in on three specific projects:

New York City Council

2017 CAMPAIGN POLITICS INITIATIVE

MUSICIANS INDIVISIBLE is researching candidates in the upcoming city wide elections for Mayor and City council. We will support those who share our values by developing campaigns to organize and participate in door to door, leafleting and phone bank activities.

New York state constitutional conventional awareness campaign

On the ballot in NY in 2017 as “Do you want to have a 2017 Constitutional Convention?" Should it happen, a Constitutional Convention under Trump could affect equity, workers compensation, the right to organize, and decades of Labor Law progress. Much of this would disappear overnight. NY would become a Right To Work state within two weeks. MUSICIANS INDIVISIBLE is creating a campaign to raise awareness about this issue and to make sure that voters understand what they might lose if they vote for it.
